The procedure
Skin excess is removed commonly after liposuction. This results in improvement of the aethetics of the arm. The scar is typically placed in the posteromedial surface, so it is not easily visible. A Z- plasty may also be necessary if there is skin excess in the armpit.
Anesthesia
Local anesthesia with or without sedation.
Recovery
This is a same-day procedure with no stay in the clinic. Pressure garments are applied in the arms for 1 month. Avoidance of strenuous activities is advised for 2 weeks.
