Breast Reduction Mammoplasty

Ideal candidates

Women with large and saggy breasts who suffer from back pain, headaches and/or inframammary intertrigo.

The procedure

Excess skin and breast tissue are removed and the nipple-areola position is transferred superiorly. Symmetry is achieved with meticulous pre- and intraoperative measurement. The resulting scar is either an “inverting T” or a vertical one. Neither of them is obvious when the patient is in bra or swimsuit.

Anesthesia

General.

Recovery

Drains are removed after 2-3 days. Application of a pressure bra and avoidance of heavy exercise are indicated for 1 month.
